INSURANCE DAMAGE SURVEY
For more than 25 years, VM has been carrying out surveys on behalf of the Italian, British, French, German Underwriters and P&I Clubs for all types of vessels and yachts including collisions, fire damages, bad weather, aground, explosion etc. Main activities include:
- Hull and Machinery damage surveys;
- Surveys on for P&I Clubs and salvage Association;
- Technical assistance to arbitration and dispute;
CONDITION & EVALUATION SURVEYS
VM carries out condition surveys for any type of vessel and yachts for purchasers, evaluation surveys of vessels and yachts for sellers, Banks and Underwriters.
Main activities include:
- Condition surveys;
- On / Off hire surveys.
RISK MANAGEMENT SURVEY
VM carries out risk management surveys for any type of vessels and yachts inclusive of:
- Verification of compliance of all vessels certificates;
- Verification of crew qualifications;
- Overall vessels surveys;
- Supervision of safety drills (fire, abandon ship and oil pollution)
- Quantifying the risk level and any possible relevant corrections.
NEW BUILDING / ORDINARY REPAIRS / SURVEILLANCE
VM carries out the complete assistance for new building, for the repairs and for the surveillance of any type of works and / or transformation of any type of vessels and yachts .
Main activities include:
- Project management;
- Choice of the ship yard;
- Assistance if the project design, in the contract and technical specification;
- Building surveillance in the yard;
- Assistance in the delivery.
TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT
VM carries out the technical managements of any type of vessels and yachts. VMC has DOC approved by Lloyd’s Register.
Main activities include:
- Technical management;
- SMS and ISPS manuals and procedures preparation and responsibility;
- SOPEP, Garbage, Maintenance manuals preparation and responsibility;
- Purchasing management;
- Quality and Environmental control;
STATUTORY SERVICES FOR THE ADMINISTRATIONS
VM Surveyors have been nominated Nautical Inspectors to carry out annual surveys, new entry surveys, statutory surveys and occasional surveys for any type of vessels and yachts for the following Administrations:
VM, through its network of correspondents, is also able to carry out damage, condition and valuation surveys at various ports of USA, Netherlands, Dubai and Singapore.
RINA
VM Surveyors have been nominated non exclusive surveyors of RINA since 1992.
Main activities include:
- “Certificato di sicurezza” renewal on behalf of Italian Administration;
- “Certificato di sicurezza” new entry on behalf of Italian Administration;
- Class renewal and intermediate survey for yachts;
- Occasional surveys for yachts;
- Statutory Certificate annual and renewal survey for Administrations recognized by RINA (only for yachts less than 24 meters) including MCA surveys,
