Victoria Maritime (VM), a firm of consulting naval architects and marine engineers, was established in the Principality of Monaco in 1992 by Luca Spinelli-Donati and Maurizio Taviani, to offer their extensive expertise within the marine industry as former officers of the Italian Navy, surveyors of prime classification societies and technical directors of international fleets with vast experience in new building / repair yards and ship broking firms.
In order to streamline our activities and in the pursuit to offer to our Clients the broadest range of services, in 2005 we created two separate affiliated companies dealing with different aspects of our business:
• Victoria Maritime Services (VMS), providing Italian, Swiss and Monaco based Owners, with a premier world-wide ship repair yard representation service.
• Victoria Maritime Consulting (VMC), carrying out surveys of vessels and/or yachts of any size and kind on behalf of Insurance Companies, Financial Institutions, P&I Clubs, the Salvage Association, Shipowners and Shipyards. VMC also carries out Class and Statutory surveys as agency of the Italian Classification Society RINA and technical representatives of HINSIB and of the governments of Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Malta, Nigeria, Panama, Saint Kitts & Nevis and Saint Vincent & The Grenadines.
